I recently switched to Rowaphos, but only the top of the GFO is tumbling in the reactor. The bottom portion seems like it not moving at all.

There’s about 4-8 Tbsp in there.

Any ideas?

Title should say top*

edit. Thanks mods!

You might need a bigger pump and then get a small valve to control it. I use about the same of Rowa in a BRS reactor. The stock pump ( sicce 1.5 I believe) runs fully open and moves the Rowa just enough. Any more Rowa and I would need a bigger pump myself.

Mine just kinds "vibrates" at the top. As long as it doesn't get clumpy, you're fine.

That's the way mine was (it may be fine, don't know), but I later mixed it with GAC to allow more spaces for water to flow through.
