Gfo reactor malfunctioned

Hey guys. My gfo reactor malfunctioned and now the gfo got shot into the main display. How bad is it that it's all over the tank ?

Ferric oxide is basically rust so you would think iron in the tank would be disastrous. Apparently it's not that bad. Some hobbyists run their reactors long after the GFO has exhausted, without ill effect.
Your corals and filter feeders certainly won't appreciate the GFO fines in the water and may close up for a while but will get back to normal once everything settles down.

I have a sponge filter over my return pump so if somehow one of my media chambers explodes, the media will stay in my sump.

I was able to get a decent amount of it out. It's my aggressive tank so no corals or anything. The only way to completely get it all out is to take all the sand out and replace it. Which I didn't want to do. I did rip apart the rock work and redo all of that and completely cleaned the sump out so hopefully everything would be okay.

Fish only tank is no issue at all. You're good.

Haha gave me a chance to move some rocks around and add some new ones. And do a nice deep clean on the sump. I guess it wasn't so bad after all

Not a problem, generally, unless it looks bad.
