For those who use this, do you run it 24/7 or only when needed?

How big is your tank? How much do you use? Where do you keep you po4 at?

They look so different and prices are different. Maybe just marketing.

I just toss a tiny bag of gfo in if I overdose phosphates or if they are elevated and nitrate is still barely detectable (such as when I added spirulina powder daily. Then I just take the bag out after a day or so as it only takes a tiny amount of time to drop back down to where I like.

I'm going to use it in a BRS reactor. I'm currently slowly dropping my PO4 with Phosphat-e. My Hanna could not read my PO4 as it was so high. Last week it finally started to show readings and today its reading 0.35. I'm planning to go down a bit more and then try to maintain it with 1 of the medias.

Maybe that will be my end game but I have big eaters in my tank. I don't know if passively using any of the medias will help me.

Wow! it lasts that long? I thought it depleted pretty quickly.
Depends on your system. I should probably be replacing it a bit more frequently, but I don't. But I do leave it in at least 60 days.

As I indicated, I prefer Nyos Phosi-Ex. It's not as fine or dirty as Rowaphos, so almost nothing ends up in the sump.

I guess if the PO4 is where you want it then no need to change it.
