For those who use this, do you run it 24/7 or only when needed?

Do you prefer GFO over Rowa?I used GFO 24/7.
Same thing, just think of Rowa as coke and GFO as a generic cola.Do you prefer GFO over Rowa?
My system is 200 gallons. I use about 500ml every 2-3 months. Phosphates are between 0.010-0.025.How big is your tank? How much do you use? Where do you keep you po4 at?
Maybe that will be my end game but I have big eaters in my tank. I don't know if passively using any of the medias will help me.I just toss a tiny bag of gfo in if I overdose phosphates or if they are elevated and nitrate is still barely detectable (such as when I added spirulina powder daily. Then I just take the bag out after a day or so as it only takes a tiny amount of time to drop back down to where I like.
SameI used GFO 24/7.
Wow! it lasts that long? I thought it depleted pretty quickly. My system is 200 gallons. I use about 500ml every 2-3 months. Phosphates are between 0.010-0.025.
Its a 125. Mixed reef. What size tank is it for and how are you planning on using it, in a reactor or just in a media bag?
Depends on your system. I should probably be replacing it a bit more frequently, but I don't. But I do leave it in at least 60 days.Wow! it lasts that long? I thought it depleted pretty quickly.
Pretty much. I don't test religiously, but when I do it's always where I expect it to be for the most part.I guess if the PO4 is where you want it then no need to change it.
You can also check the water exiting from the reactor to check when it’s exhausted.I guess if the PO4 is where you want it then no need to change it.
Well I hope I get there soon. I still have a long way to go.Pretty much. I don't test religiously, but when I do it's always where I expect it to be for the most part.
