Ok, so as the title says on 6/29/2018 i pulled all the GFO out of my reactor, added a grow light and some cheato, and sat back to see any results. So, i did find that my cheap Amazon grow light can grow cheato like crazy! I am 4 months into this "experiment" and here are some other discoveries:
1. I do not have to chip GFO out of my reactor chamber every month!
2. I am using much less Alk solution than I have ever used despite having more corals!
I am just wondering if anyone else who has made this popular choice has noticed any similar results? It is almost as if the GFO was pulling Alk out of the water?
