I've got another query for anemone specialists...
I've got some GHA in my tank at the moment, suspect it's what's bothering some of my softies.
Will the presence of GHA on a rock deter a BTA from planting itself?

Seagel's reduced the po4 but should i also be pulling everything and giving it a real thorough scrubbing prior to introducing BTAs or am i over thinking it?
Cheers

They could care less about GHA or even your $2000 coral, they will set up shop where they please. I would be more worried about the levels of nutrients in your water causing the growth of GHA, than the physical presence of GHA. Too high, too low, or large fluctuations in NO3/PO4 levels, could make for a very unhappy and stressed nem. I would just make sure you have a good game plan for control and stabilization of nutrient levels.

That Nem is going to plant its foot where ever it pleases. The GHA that touches it will regret it along with any 10 dollar or 1000 dollar coral. I have a half burnt up Rock flower from a GBTA that split and walked over it. They truely dont care and GHA is no match for a nem. So the short answer is no, GHA will not stop it from going where it wants to.

But +1 to getting nutrients under control.
