Gha battle and dinos

#s and pics ?
It’s a very easy fix, don’t listen to people that tell you to vodka dose or use all kind’s of bs product’s, do yourself a huge favor and get yourself a algae scrubber and you tank will be crystal clear in 3 week’s, trust me i just went through the same thing 3 month’s ago i don’t even use a protein skimmer any more, no need for one, but if you try and fix it using all these different kinds of chemicals, it’s only gonna get worse and you’re gonna have many more problems. Take care of it, the natural way.

Ya I’m not a fan of chemical maintenance! I do have plans on a diy scrubber but then I’m thinking fuge what’s your opinion between the two?

Personally, I think a algae scrubber is far superior then a fuge, and they are so low maintenance, no more cleaning the skimmer cup 3 times a week or harvesting chaeto and making a mess

It is difficult to recommend something to you without knowing more facts, like:
  • How old is the tank
  • Nitrates and phosphates levels
  • dry or live rock
  • skimmer or not
  • tank inhabitants
We don’t know if your uglies are because of high or low nutrients or simply because it is a new tank established on dry rock and you are just going through inevitable fazes of new reef tank.
I would not jump immediately to algae scrubber, but I would use glass scrubber to clean glass and some brush to scrub rock.
I have different take on vodka, though, it might be necessary, but not more than one shot and preferably after you clean your rock and glass :winking-face:

Why would you not go right to a algae scrubber it’s the best option when it will completely fix the issue in 3 week’s

Are you selling one?
Will it resolve dinos?
3 weeks is too long
Besides, I like vodka and I am ready for my shot now.

No I’m not selling one you can get one at BRS or a bunch of other places, yes it will wipe out dinos, it’s better to fix the problem without using chemicals
