GHA, Bryopsis or Bermuda turf grass?

I recently finished a chemiclean treatment, and now I'm starting to get a few Tufts of this popping up.

It seems to be a little different than GHA I had before. It's a little tougher to pull and tear from the rocks. Kind of like turf grass.

I've been dosing vibrant, and it doesn't seem to have any effect on it. I have stopped dosing nopox several months ago during my cyano / spirulina outbreak.

all parameters seem to be in check:

Nitrates, just showing the slightest hint of pink on by Red Sea Pro test kit.

Phosphates, last test was showing a .16 test before that was a .08.

Alkalinity, 7.5

Calcium, 430 to 440.

Magnesium, 1400

Salinity, 1.026

I had to reset my tank 1st of April due to a leak. And going through the tank uglies before the cyano took hold. Everything in the tank still looks good just want to get ahead of this before it gets out of control.

Any help in identifying and land of action to help mitigate would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance

What do you have for snails/tangs/blennies?

Are they touching it?

Do you use anything for phosphate export from the tank?

Thanks for the heads up on the edit. I'm not sure how the nursing my friend got in there. LOL

I do have a bristle tooth tang and a Sailfin. Also have a lawnmower blenny. Basic array of snails and nothing seems to be touching it.

I'm not using any type of gfo. My only nutrient export is a skimmer which I have cut back to 12 hours a day to try and bring my nitrates up from zero.

from the photo It doesn't appear to be bryopsis, which is more feathered or fern-like.

I remember reading somewhere that the bristletooth Tang can only work on things shorter than a quarter inch long.
That they actually wrasp the rocks when they feed.

Try dropping one of your turbo snails next to the algae and see what happens.

I like to buy the turbo's under 3/4" in size. Still a bulldozer, but not as bad.

Got a couple we need to trade back out for some smaller ones.
Want to get a few trochus snails as well to replace a few of the astraea's.
