In your opinion, what crabs and snails are the best for gha? I have nooks and crannies that I just can't get to. Before amyone suggests, I only have a 29 cube, so I don't want to risk a nudibranch or sea hare.

Thanks,

Jim

tuxedo urchins are fantastic at eating hair algae. buy the smallest one you can find (dime-size) and they'll be able to get into some tight spaces...until they grow larger, haha.

Grabbed a tuxedo yesterday and I accidentally dropped him into an algae filled hole. My thoughts were crap and F#$K, but I saw him tonight, thank God. Thanks for the advice.

Haha! I'm sure that urchin loved it! BTW, make sure that you have GHA and not bryopsis. Urchins will readily eat green hair algae but they won't touch bryopsis. They must be able to smell it or taste it, and it's an immediate stop for them. If you see the urchin isn't eating the algae that you have this may be the cause. If you do have bryopsis it almost good news since it can be killed so easily with fluconazole.

An excellent point! No bryopsis, annihilated it all over a year ago with the most excellent fluconazole treatment!
