I had acclimation issues with a frag of astreopora that I recieved. Its slowly coming back and I can see polyps, however there is some cyano and GHA on it. I fear it is in too poor of health to try a h2o2 dip, can I gently brush it off with a soft bristle tooth brush?

Thank you for your time.

I would try to do it but softly. Definitely wouldn't do h2o2. Pic?
Lights are just coming on, this is before cyano was blown off. Polyps came back out almost immediately so thats a good sign right?

Hey does't look bad in that pic, I would keep blowing the alge off and keeping it clean. If it's the only coral struggling then your probably in better shape than most of us haha

It's the only SPS I have right now. It didn't ship well. Thought it was dead tbh but my wife spotted some polyps. Heres the vender pic

I would leave be as much as possible and brush it softly. After looking at the video it does look like alot of the coral is dead. It might come back! Alge does like to grow on dead sps skeletons and if left be it tends to choke out any coral that is left.

Thats my worry. Might have her remove the plug from the rock and set it in the frag rack so it can be removed for the gentle brushing
