I recently got a frag of lemon tip clove polyps that has some GHA growing on the frag. Cant really manually remove much of it cause its growing on the base of the polyps. Would a peroxide dip be safe to use on clove polyps? I dont wanna kill the frag but dont wanna introduce GHA into my DT either.

Is it possible to dip the plug without dipping the coral?
I have not heard of it hurting cloves but no experience with dipping cloves in peroxide either.

Yeah I could but here's the dilemma, the majority of it is growing on the coral itself and not the plug. Like you said I haven't heard of peroxide hurting cloves but also have no first hand experience of it either. It's not really spreading either but I definitely wanna get rid of the majority of it before it decides to.

What cuc and fish do you have?
Have various snails and a cleaner shrimp. Only fish that does any cleaning is diamond goby but obviously he isn't gonna help with that. I do have an algae blenny and tomini tang coming but won't be here until September 23rd, had to pre-order them from TSA.

I have these and I wouldn't peroxide dip them, got a pic?
I can take one when I get back to the house in an hour or so. Its honestly not bad very minimal, but dont want it to get bad either. Hopefully it stays at the stage its at and when I get the other fish they will help keep it from spreading.

Following as I same problem I’ve been picking it off with tweezers and went as far as buying the peroxide but I can’t bring myself to use it.

I would clean it with tweezers and pop it on a rack.
... actually I wouldn't, something would clean it in my tanks. ;)
If the frag was in your tank, what would do the best to clean it up? I have a 3" plug with Firework cloves being overtaken by GHA. I clean the algae as much by hand as possible, drop it in a small box with 8 hermit crabs and it's only getting worse after 2 weeks of this. I have GHA under control(basically non-existant) in my system but I can't get it off this plug for the life of me. I can get pics if it helps

Tangs, fox face hermits, snails, tuxedo urchins, mithrax crabs, ... :)
Depends on tank size.

Mines in a 30g frag tank with a 6 line wrasse 40 hermits , 10 emeralds. I could add a fish but I’d rather not because they seem to get stressed with all the fragging and coral feeding. I don’t mind giving a fish a shot but it’s only one frag I have a problem with.

I would just frag it off the plug and clean it in your situation.
