i have a frag of zoas in my qt with a small amount of gha on it and I think it’s keeping one of the two polyps from opening I’ve tried removing it by hand it’s just so small it’s hard to remove does anyone have a suggestion? A dip or bath that will kill it

You can do a peroxide dip and that will kill the gha. I’ve dipped a lot of zoas in it and haven’t lost any from the dip. Check on the peroxide dip make up.

What ratio of peroxide to tank water did you use and what concentration was the peroxide ? Or do u maybe have a link

I’ve been using half tank water, half 3% peroxide. I like 1-2 mins. You will see the gha start bubbling/outgasing. The gha should be dead and gone by the next day or earlier.

Make sure the zoas are good and closed before going into the dip.

I do the 1:1 ratio as well. Leave it in for a minute or two, rinse it with rodi and plop it back in the tnak.

GHA gone the next day or two.

Thanks guys
So I dipped my zoas in 50/50 tank water h202 and for about 1-1/2 min and it took care of the algae however the one frag it looks as though it burnt off the polyps tentacles, other frag looks the same as it did minus then gha any thoughts. They have been recuperating from the dip for about 3 days.also the h202 was 3%

I had whats sounds like the same thing happen and it healed fine after a couple weeks or so.

Were the polyps closed up for the dip, normally they just close when you move them. Have they opened up since the dip and the lashes look different? If they opened up you should be good and they will be good.

They never closed at ally hey stayed open for the dip and rinse however they weren’t full extended. Next day they appeared open with no tenticals

Hhhmmm, mine have always been shut for the dip. I could see a open zoa getting damaged. If they opened that is a good sign, normally when they go they just stay shut and melt away.

Maybe I’ll have to give them a little more time
