GHA or Bryopsis

Gotcha, I have what I believe to be bryopsis, but no definitive proof. I have what I believe is GHA in my sump and its soft, when i pull it, it feels like it just rips off. The other stuff, maybe byropsis, is denser and when i pluck it off of frag plugs it doesn't seem like it pulls off but just breaks at the base; and since it always comes back, i'm assuming bryopsis. I've done pure h202 dips on the frags, which works, but eventually it always comes back.
Fern or feather leaf. Thats a bryo. Gomes thick and long and short thin but always a fern or feather.
Long and stringy is a "Gha"

But the fluconanole is a miracle. Works in both. I think ya because of the very thin cell wall on these thin skinned algaes. I noticed less algae on the glass for the first several days too. My bryo was actually gone from sight in seven days. Both tanks. A tiny bit of Gha was left as it's a thicker algae. None of the other algaes were touched.

What I think is GHA is matted and stringy, the other stuff, bryopsis, is long and skinny, denser. I tried fluconanole; thought my carbon was exhausted so I left it on, guess it removed the meds bc the "bryopsis" showed signs of dying within days, but then came right back

at 20mg per gallon? well mixed?
Mine was gone in 7 days.
The gha survived so....But my bet is you would have to re dose the tank after a week or two and possibly a third time over a month to kill everything. Id bet on it.
The green on the glass coming back after a week makes be believe the flocon becomes less active(potent/oxidises) that quickly.

and Im at 22 days and the gha is coming back.

yea, I did 8, 20 mg pills for 80G. I emptied all the capsules in a quart of tank water and poured into high flow. I don't have much bryopsis at all, very little in fact bc i spot treat it with h202, but it's annoying. Definitely seems like when you break the byropsis off of a frag it makes a snap or pluck noise and doesn't seem to completely come free.

Makes no sense you'd still have it.
Got a pic?

My only guess was the carbon wasn't exhausted and it pulled the meds; it was a week old, figured it wouldn't, but who knows. I'll snag one when the lights come on. Had GFO running, but to my knowledge this doesn't make any difference. Left my skimmer running, but turned it down just to keep the pump running, never had to empty the cup.

It would make sense if carbon pulls it out. I don't know that it does but it could.

I didn't turn off my skimmer.

Tag me if you get pics or start a thread.
