Really hard to tell from those pix. Turn the blue channel down and the white up just for the pix to help us ID.

Also need Nitrate & Phosphate test results.

I will try and get a better pic but it looks like gha

Nitrates are low

Phosphate are low

Both are detectable but on the lower end of the api color scale

With algae, the numbers can be skewed by the uptake of both nitrates & phosphates. IMO toss the API kits, get something with better track record. I admit for a while I kept testing Nitrates with the API, but once I switched to Salifert the results were more consistent. Hanna checker for Phosphates, nothing is better or easier.

If there is a bit of GHA, just feed less for week or two or run some GFO in a reactor. Follow the GFO with GAC either in the reactor or bag. Repeat if still necessary.

I have been running gfo for years in a tlf 150 reactor

How often are you changing the media? Possibly it's exhausted and phosphates are increasing and/or the exhausted media is leaching it back into the tank.

I only use 10 teaspoons of the BRS Standard gfo and I replace the media once a month. I make my own water the TDS is 0 using fritz pro rpm the low Alk version
