Hi I'm after opinions, what worked for you? Would I better to dose the hydrogen peroxide into the tank and leave it at that or should I take out the rock and put the hydrogen peroxide directly on the rock for 5/10 minutes then rinse and put the rock back.
I'm also thinking maybe treat the rock out of the tank and then also dose the tank to be sure as it's really bad now

If you can take the rocks out, that’s the favorable method.

I can do that yes the corals are not yet glued down other than one, the only issue is the midas blenny who will refuse to come out of the rock but he switches from one rock to the other.
Can I do them all in one day to try to stop it regrowing or will it kill too much good bacteria do you think?

I recently moved, had all my live rock coral and inverts and fish kept in buckets until I set it up.
After a few weeks I had a Dino outbreak and after a few weeks of syphoning and rasining the Nitrate it all dissappeared.
Unfortunately once you get rid of one thing something else pops up and now with the higher nitrates I now have GHA over everything and its taking over my tank. I have tried syphoning that off and lowering Nitrates but it will take a while to die off.
Today I picked up a sea hare and 3 Mexican turbos. They have been in an hour and already started clearing the stuff.
The sea hare I will take back to lfs omce its done and try and keep the Mexican turbo snails from starving to death.

I've tried Hydrogen Peroxide in the past and in my experience the GHA just comes back faster.

See the algae on the wall to the left, that indicates a sandbed full of waste and or live rocks full of detritus that needs to be removed

if we topically kill gha but leave the feed it comes back

combine external peroxide, tank cleaning, and willingness to repeat as needed for the win. We can’t bring tanks that select for algae into peroxide cleaning and expect the current arrangement to always be algae free, it caused algae to arrive here.

peroxide is the last step we apply, to a cleaned vs clouded up tank, then it works much better. It’s merely a plant killer

making your rocks and sand free of filthy clouding waste is the most important part, dosers won’t do that for you

Dosing anything to your tank especially hydrogen peroxide, I feel, should be kept as a last resort.
Chaeto Ball + Lawn Mower Blenny +Scrubbing Rock (Scrub into wastewater, not tank) = Is what I've tried
Big water changes are key, while still making sure you keep nutrients up at least a little bit for the health of fish/coral

Take rock out and treat outside the tank preferably. For inside- use liquid Vibrant. It works !!

Also reduce white light intensity a little and add some cleaners such as:
Turbo grazer
astrea snail
nerite snail
2-3 Nassarius snails
6 blue leg hermit crabs

IS YOUR TANK AT OR NEAR A WINDOW ?

I got 4 blue legged hermit crabs and 4 Mexican turbo snails as well as a sea hare but the sea hare sadly died and I dont want to risk killing another.
The tank is on the opposite wall to the window theres never direct sunlight on the tank.
I've cut down the white light to nearly 0 but still have the blue light on the same.
I think my downfall was getting lazy with water changes during an 11 week fallow period.
I've tried scrubbing the rock with a toothbrush but only just thought to do that while siphoning at the same time...duh.
I've looked at vibrant but I have chaeto and I bought nopox before realising I need a skimmer which I dont have.
I chose a refugium over a skimmer but cant fit a skimmer in the little section before that (14cmx17cm) but I'm contemplating taking the baffles out there or taking the chaeto out
