So I've been sort of battling algae. At first it was cyano and I was directed to put some chemipure in my sump. I did that and the cyano seemed to subside. That was until gha started showing up. I've been trying to clean it during water changes but it just keeps growing back. I've already been through all the processes to make sure that there isn't any excess nutrients and what not. I've made sure my water is as pure as it can get. It seems like at this point I have one option I haven't tried yet. Carbon dosing. Thoughts? How to carbon dose? Any info would be appreciated.

Here's the algae I pulled out from tonight. And there's still a ton on the rocks I can't get.

So idk what your rock structure is like, but I had an infestation that filled the plate your using, and that wasn't what I scrubbed off. I pulled each rock out and scrubbed it in a separate tub, then a quick peroxide bath and I have no GHA. You may want to do it in sections though, because you might have a mini cycle. I placed the least covered rocks into a tank for my livestock and corals, then basically scrubbed my fingers raw on the rest. Added everyone/everything back in, then scrubbed the remaining.

Is it just straight peroxide or is it diluted? Also what about rocks with coral grown onto it?

My advice to you is get a tang if you haven't got one
It will clean GHA in no time
I have the same issue with my smaller tank
