I only started to cycle my tank 1 1/2 weeks ago, and I had a slight Diatom out break and it cleared up very fast, now I have GHA growing thru out the tank. I'm using RO/DI water so I'm guessing that why the Diatoms didn't last long at all. So I guess I'm asking shouldn't all this be happening around week 4-5?

and yes I'll be killing the light for a few days :)

Phosphates 0.06 Tested with Hanna checker

0-5 ppm Nitrates Hard to get accurate reading with API

Great time to add a Tang if it’s on your stocking list.

When I cycled my tank i didn't have the lights on the first 3.5 weeks. Only turned on the lights a few days before putting in clean-up crew. This could help and from my understanding there is no reason to have the light on during the cycle. I have some GHA in my tank now, but it somehow only grows on my snails !
