GHL 2.1 Maximum Lift

Does anyone know the maximum lift of the GHL 2.1 doser? Would like to do automatic water changes from reservoirs in the basement below, and probably put my 2 part down there too. Thanks.

Biggest issue here would be getting the correct amount out as well as into the tank Dealing with a 3/16 id line at long distance as well as pushing water up will require extra care to keep running properly. Know this as some one has tried doing this. [emoji3] I use a Stenner dual head pump now

Thanks reefwiser. The Apex DOS is another option - which would be nice because I can turn off my ATO during the water change. I only need to do about a half gallon a day so I'm not talking large volumes. But I will need something that will be precise with quantities out and in.

How did you prevent siphoning from your drain side? I saw one person recommended placing the discharge tube higher than the tank level - something that will be logistically difficult.

I never had an issue with back siphoning. I had my Profilux turn off all pumps while the water change pump is running. I was doing a gallon a cup every hour. Now changing to once a week again to see how the tank does with that. I am dosing a new trace element formula and want keep the levels up in the tank all week.

I was hoping to do it all with the 4 head 2.1, but it sounds like the 3 head 2.1 for 2 part plus a maxi for AWC might be the way to go. Does it make sense to buy the master version of both instead of buying a slave maxi? I use apex for my controller.

You could use the doser 2.1 I think and use the Maxi for just the water change if you want. The GHL dosers have a lot of functionality to them and one of the reasons I use them is that I can do tons of different things with them. Also they are small and compact which is important if you want to fit them under a stand.
