GHL Connect App - new version supports GHL Doser 2!

Here is a huge update: App GHL Connect now also for GHL Doser 2!

Our app GHL Connect just made the next step, with the new version 0.10.0 it includes complete support for GHL Doser 2, GHL Connect now replaces the GHL Control app.
The android version is already available for download from our download page, the iOS version is still under approval by Apple and will be released any moment.
GHL Connect supports now ProfiLux 4 and GHL Doser 2. We are working now on support for ProfiLux 3, after that we will add Mitras LX7 support.

Just downloaded the new app and its not connecting. Any tips on how to configure to get working???

Disregard above post. Forgot to change my ip settings. I'm seeing my pumps but when I select one to see my dosing schedule, I just get and endless Please wait icon.

Hi, min. required firmware is 1.24.
If your doser has a lower version please update, try again.
If fw version and connection settings are all Ok and you have still trouble we must give this to our support staff, in this case please use our standard support channels, e.g. forum.

I'm on Firmware 1.24 I'm using a Samsung Galaxy s7 edge and can connect and see my doser and each head but when I select one it just hangs and says Please wait with a spinning icon. I tried to post on the standard support channel but have to wait till a moderator approves me on that forum. Also should mention the older version of the app works fine. Please advise if you know of a work around or fix. Thank you.

Hey Matthias,

I just downloaded the GHL Connect app, and I was able to add my GHL dosers 2.1 to the app. However, when I select the doser, it just says that it can’t connect to the doser. I was finally able to add them to myGHL, but for some reason can’t being them up on the app. Hope to hear from you.

Mine was solved. GHL contacted me through email and sent me a link for a version of the 2.1 app and it solved all my issues. Working perfect now.

this is nuts.. hours later.. and cant get to dose from the pc. error 50 error 28..

I have nothing but problems with ghl software as well. Whenever I watch a how to video from ghl I'm missing a step that doesn't exist on my end that does on theirs. Frustrating stuff

ok i am done until i get an email back.. wow.. nuts.. i just tried to update again.. the computer flashed.. with a message.. reset the microcontroller on the user board.? what the.... crazy .. i cant find nothing on the boards..

I had to go into my router settings and find the ip address for my ghl doser. Then change the ip number in the ghl app to match. It all seems overly complicated with little real instructions. I was able to setup my apex in minutes compared to hours with ghl.

many problems are solved when you use a static IP instead of an automatically assigned IP (DHCP).

With automatic IPs you have the problem that the IP may change without your knowledge, GCC or the app can't find the device after that, of course.

We also had recently a case with an address conflict - another device had the same IP as the GHL device. No wonder that there are communication conflicts.

I am sure sure our support staff is able to help, no need for things like "...hours later..." etc.
Usually a matter of minutes.

This is the wrong approach. You should not have a random IP and then find it out. You better assign a static (and therefore known) IP.

This message should not appear since the "reset microncontroller" thing has already been done automatically in the background, you need nothing to do.
I am not sure why at some PCs this message appears, it should be hidden and the update should start automatically. We still try to find out why some customers see this message box.

1. Just confirm this (not wanted and acccidentally displayed) message, downoad should start then.

Good morning.. Matthias.. i will post on your forum also. I am sure I am not the only one to have these issues. I post here so perhaps others can see the solution quickly.
The message is below I was able to take a quick pic of.

Here are the issues.

1. I am unable to update to new firmware. I get the message "reset microcontroller" very quickly .. had to take video to stop and see it. Then at stage 4/5 of the update I get the notice, directing me to unplug the GHL Doser. Plug it back in and nothing happens. .. I hit cancel on the update and start over and repeat it all over again.

2. The main issue is while the doser set up with usb worked it did not allow me to actually hit the onscreen pc menu button to dose. nothing happened.. but interestingly enough it did work for the stirrer in manual mode when i hit it. I set a static ip address.. shows up on my router in static and wifi. I tried a lan setting and attached a cord but that did not help. When i used the phone app the dose button worked. perhaps it is windows 7 vist which my pc is on that is an issue.. i will try this am with my laptop windows 10.

I found that when doing a software update windows sometimes will change the com port when the Profilux or doser goes into boot loader mode. Could be your issue. But post on the GHL forum they will help you figure it out.

i saw that it changed to com4.. did not help... works when connected to pc via usb.. keeps losing wifi connection.. sees it then it does not. and the router is a good one.. iphone and all other devices all good.
the router is like only 50 feet away.. would like to know how to reboot the entire device and start completely over..

restarted and reset and again.. still having issues.. just looked to see if it is missing the wifi.. and yep.. now it cant even find the apex hot spot that I have.. does not see my HP printer that broadcasts.. so before the wifi reciever in the unit saw sometimes my home wifi.. use to always see my printer broadcast that is right in the next room.. but now.. nothing.. although the GHL is now blue on top.. I am starting to think the wifi in this unit is not working correctly.. or bad..

when i ping the unit with the address i assign to it in system.. i get back nothing.. yestday at least it came back.. today.. noting .. shows sent 4 packets.. destination host unreachable.

another update.. for those with the same problem.. i just attached using cat5e... LAN... my router shows it.. but the pc.. using GHL software still does not connect.. maybe another reboot.. off and on.. delete the new device for the LAN and redo.. see what happens..

so i redid that.. and now i was again able to connect.. but same problem.. i use the software to try and dose 5ml from pump 1 and get the ERROR 50 again..
