GHL Connect App

Am I the only person that has a heck of a time using GHL connect?? It takes multiple tries to get connected to my doser. Then have to keep reconnecting to make multiple doser changes. The old GHL control app won’t work with the latest apple update but that app worked great.

Whatever they did to the app really screwed it up. GHL Connect used to be very reliable. In the last month or so it's gotten very slow to display and is problematic to connect to.

When at home, do you connect via Local Devices or the myGHL Devices?

I do not know wat is wrong with your connection or your app. My GHL Connect works allways very good and fast.

Very strange 99% of the time I have to close the app to reconect to it,not just me

I do not have a doser but I seem to have the best results when connecting to my devices( P4 and Mitras) local when I am home.

Only use MyGHL when away from home.

Use the local Wifi connection when you're at home, it's WAY faster and more stable.

Also, there's a very short timeout on the connection when you turn off your device's screen.
Keep your screen on and it shouldnt disconnect.

Also having a heck of a time with the app, updated FW, added a wired connection still very unstable. Blows my mind that in 2021 the apps not using cloud at all & hosting all the GHL data locally on the device. Not as excited about my IonD anymore

That´s wrong - it use the cloud fully out - data is only temporary stored in the device . But it is right all programming and all commands are stored on the device - If you lose the cloud connection, server problem and other things that happens - the computer/doser/light will still do its job.

Thought I put my five cents in. So today I purchased a used GHL 2.1 standalone download the app to my iPhone went into my Wi-Fi and I cannot find GHL WiFi network any help would be really appreciated

Install GHL Control Center https://www.aquariumcomputer.com/downloads/ghl-control-center-v1-1-3-7/
Connect Doser to computer with USB
Change network settings.
