I have a GHL Doser 2 that was setup through WiFi and accessible via the GHL app. For some reason it has disconnected, and I am now having all sorts of problems with it. I can currently only connect to i via USB. I have tried connecting it via wifi and LAN but neither work.

According to my router page, the IP address for the doser is 10.0.0.141, but when I set this as the IP address in the doser it still wont connect. On my router's page it has the doser listed as an offline device for some reason. I am not sure how to get it to go from an offline device to an online device.

I am also unable to update the firmware. Every time I try it gets to step 4/5 of and then fails stating, "Error: Update can't be started. Reset the device by disconnecting it from power for a few seconds!"

I am getting very aggravated with this doser. No matter what I do it won't connect, not even when hardwired to my router. I am not sure what the deal is. Any help would be much appreciated.

I have also noticed that I need to close the app on my phone, and stop it from running in the background every time I use it. Seems it only likes to connect once. Look at it or change something, you need to close and start again.

I cannot run the firmware. Every time I try it fails on step 4/5 for no apparent reason. I am not sure why this is happening. I am beginning to wonder if the wifi component of the doser may just be broken. Why would it show up on my router's connected devices page as "offline"? It should be online if powered on.

The doser does not show up in available wifi networks on my iphone, which further supports my thought that the wifi is just broken on the doser.

From what I remember, you need the latest firmware to use the app, and proper wifi connectivity.

The firmware can only be upgraded using usb on a Windows computer.

Ok finally got it! Had to reset the doser to factory settings and then the device finally showed up as an active device in my routers page. Still can't get the firmware upload to go, so I'll have to keep messing with it.

I'm using my surface pro. I got the wifi and app working again, but Connor have the latest update. The problem (I think) is that I'm supposed to select the correct com port number when doing the upgrade, which should be under PORTS in the device manager; however when I search the device manager I don't have a PORTS option so I don't know which number to use.

I am still unable to get an updgrade to go through regardless of whether I'm hard wired or wifi connected. I was trying to use my surface to do the upgrade, maybe that's the issue? I couldn't find the right comm port number. I couldn't find it anywhere on the Device Manager. It wasn't showing up where the ghl prompt screen was saying it should be. So I was just trying random numbers to see if it'd work.

Can you PM me? I'd be happy to help you. Any chance you're near the doser now?

Ok so I am still having issues with this. I got it working well enough, but then moved again. I have am generally able to get the wifi and phone app working but it only ever seems to last a day or so. If I ping the IP address assigned to the doser I get good response. But for some reason the doser won't connect via wifi either through the GHL control center program or the app. Any suggestions? Is there a router setting I should be looking into? I apologize in advance, but I am not particularly good with computers.
