Hey Reef 2 Reef!
After returning home from Reef a Palooza on Saturday with a few Acros I knew it was time to buy a Dosing pump. At the show, I saw GHL and talked to them about their doser they definitely had me intrigued. However, the price was very expensive. I started looking online today and pretty much found that the majority of Reefers use either the Bubble Magus or the GHL. So my question is which one is the better buy?
Thanks!

Also. Any idea where I can get the cheapest GHL if I do go that route? Any dosing container recommendations?

I went through the same search process a couple years ago and ended up with the same two results. I ended up going with the GHL and could not be happier. It's rock solid and I've had no problems whatsoever (knock on wood). I ended up with the generation prior to the new doser 2 series though, but still love it.

I know a couple squad members who use and love the newer GHL so let's see if we can get them to respond. @reefwiser has been using it for a while and sings it praises and @d2mini has one that I'm not sure he's fired up just yet.

Good luck with your decision.

After reading over the manual for the Bubble Magus I read that the interval time between each pump is 5 minutes, so if I wanted to dose 7 times a day for both calcium and alk they could overlap each other. I love that there is an app for the GHL also.

Great doser for sure
Is it same one that they were demo?
.
Sure is. GHL Doser 2. My only question is if it is the 4 pumps or not. Based on the card for where they said retail price at the raffle it would be the 4 pumps which is what I would be looking for ideally. However, if I can't get a good deal I might just "Settle" for the 2-3 pumps since they can be added on later. Get any good deals at Reef a Palooza?

Go for the GHL doser 2, I have one and been using it for a year now and highly recommend it. Its been dead accurate and has a lot of nice extra features that can be added on if you want. The wifi access is amazing, can quickly adjust dosing without having to touch the doser. The price is what it is, for quality equipment you will pay a hefty price, but for something as important as controlling your dosing that could easily wipe your tank if something goes wrong then I wouldn't cheap out on this.
Personally I wouldn't use the bubble magus if you are looking at saving some money then look into the drew's dosers from BRS, those are simple and accurate.

I think I am sold on the GHL.. I have heard so many great things about it so why not get the best and something that will last. My only concern is what should I put it on inside my cabinet. I have a 60 gallon cube with a stand, however my sump is located outside of the stand so I could have easier access. How do I go about having lines running from under the cabinet to the sump area.

A power drill and a bit.
Just put a couple small holes through.

Yes I have a GHL doser 2 and a slave unit too. [emoji3] when choosing the GHL I wanted a unit that was well made. The pumps are 24 volt stepper motors. It's easy to use just with the phone app you can set up the doser. I am using the slave unit to do AWC a gallon a day. You can also set up the doser to do auto top off too. You can set up the the amount of your dosing container and the doser 2 will will flash when the container gets low. You can also buy magnetic stirrers for each pump so the fluid in the container will be stirred before dosing. You can have up to 16 pumps on the main doser controller.
