GHL Flow meter

Hi, I have the 1inch flow meter installed in my return and wonder if the readings I am getting are correct. The meter is installed in an horizontal pipe but the connection cable is not coming straight up. It is likely angled at 45 degrees. Would this affect the readings?

Thanks! I work abroad so will only be able to upload a pic when I get home. Indeed I am seeing lower than expected readings. I cannot perform the bucket test to have a rough estimate. The pump is a 8.000L/h one and I am getting around 1.800L/h.

The return has a vertical height of some 120cm and horizontal length of 130cm. There are 4 elbows, one no return valve and a large Deltec UV where the thread goes from 1” to 3/4”, and than back to 1”.

I expected to have something like 4.000L, not 1500.

Unfortunately not [emoji4]. Actually I am kidding because I am very happy with this pump, which I have replacing my former Vectra L1. It is a 85w TMC Reef Pump.

Looking at the size of the pump(motor) - you're very likely seeing accurate readings... the smaller the motor block, the less "power" to overcome head pressure caused by fittings, pipe and restrictions. :/
