GHL improvements needed

I really like GHL products. I have two mitras lx7 and a profilux 4.
But! Customer service needs some improvement. I bought a calcium reactor (used).
I needed some extras for it. I ordered everything I neeeded. Got most of what I need, except for the pH probe and pH card from GHL. Ordered it it on the 23rd. I just got the tracking # today. It says package ready for pick up. So it's not actually shipped yet. So much for setting my reactor up this weekend!
 
GHL’s warehouse is in Florida and sometimes they sell out of a piece of equipment. So they wait for the next shipment from the factory.
I have a WiFi hotspot that hasn’t shipped for a month an a half.
Sometimes things get backed up. We live in a society I want it now. [emoji3]

Yes we do live in that society. I get caught up in that also. The biggest sticking point for me is they have your money for that amount of time. That's just plain wrong. It's one thing if you pre order something. When I go to the store I get my item right then and there.
 
This thread is a bit unnecessary as GHL has already readied your shipment.

You realize that you ordered something on the Thursday before Memorial Day Weekend, right? Friday, maybe closed, Saturday closed, Sunday closed, Monday closed. I take it that you processed the purchase via their website instead of talking to someone on the phone where you could have clearly expressed yourself that you were this much in a hurry to get your stuff.

Tuesday may have been the first full day back from what could have also been a 4 day weekend. GHL has great customer service and I'm sure that your order is not the only one they are trying to fill and they're typically taken care of in the order that they are received.

We all want our stuff now but some patience is still recommended, please remain calm. =)
 
Thread unnecessary??????? I ordered Thursday am. And yes I am fully aware that it was memorial day weekend. That's why I ordered Thursday am. I shouldn't have to talk with someone on the phone to get an order in a timely matter! This is not the first thing I have ordered from them. Everytime it's the same delay. Heck, I've even gotten my package from them on the same day I got the shipping notice. This is not a first time!!! If you want to put up with that kind of delay? So be it. I don't like it. So don't tell me this is an unnecessary thread!

Clearly this is a big problem for you; that your money was taken from you and a multiple day delay over Memorial Day Weekend was so bad, i mean... you could have called them. I'm sure they'd have listened.

Not every little thing needs to be posted online. This is a very little thing.

But I get why you did it, you wanted to hurt GHL over something (that is really very small). You could have just took care of this privately, called them up and asked why it was taking so long to move your package out the door. They may have either expedited the handling of your package or shared with you why it wont be able to go out till Wednesday. Either way, you could have communicated directly with them first rather than working your self up to vent here.

Take a step back, relax, and understand that we can do a lot to better our own lives and the lives of others through our own actions, both large and small.

On the other hand, as you stated, I might not get it and I hope I never will. Too many other more important things to worry about. Happy and healthy fish for one.

Yes Daddy. Thank you for teaching me such a valuable lesson. Go back and read what I wrote. Seems everyone on here is a Mod. Or wants to be.
 
Yes, you are all right. I forget we live in a world where criticism is frowned upon. So I guess I'll just suck it up. I'll try to order my things from GHL way before I want or need them. After all, everything I have had shipped from them has been slow. This wasn't a bash, it was a suggestion.
The title said needs improvement. It didn't say it sucked.

@Scdell Agreed on improving stocking and distribution or notifying the consumer of shipping delays upon ordering. My Megga set took a month to arrive and then the kh-director took over two. I believe most retailers Drop-Ship GHL goods, and I think its coming from Germany. But hey at least its factory fresh! ;) Good Luck on the project
