GHL KH director: can i use any ALK solution?

Hello fellow reefers!!

I need your help with the following.........I'm looking at buying a GHL KH Director with 2.1 Standalone doser. I struggle with all the options and addons that GHL have to offer so hopefully you can clear it up for me. I have 3 questions:

1. Will this set up (KH Director with 2.1 Standalone doser) dose Alkalinity depending on what the test readings are?
2. Can I use any Alkalinity solution or does it have to be GHL, i.e. if were running Trition method, it has it's own Alk solution.
3. Does it link up to an app and send the readings to the app, or do you need another addon?

anything else i should be are of?

1. Yes it can control your dosing.
2. They don’t sell any Alk solution any will do.
3. They have there own app to go with the equipment (GHL connect)

thanks for the reply,, been researching it the last few days...
Do you use one?
I believe it uses PH as part of its process. Is this a accurate PH reading for the tank water? meaning i wouldn't need a PH monitor?
