I wasn’t sure exactly where you stand but I’m glad it’s on my side of the fence. Good to know there is still some honest people out there who care about there integrity.

I like examining the human psyche and how people justify their actions. It's entertaining...but at the same time disappointing. It's when people take advantage of others (be it rich, poor, smart, dumb etc) it erodes my faith in others and makes me shrink away from helping people for other than selfish reasons. That is the difference to me. It makes people form an opinion of 'they' or 'them' which causes people to prejudge others unfairly because of the way 'others' acted in situations. *shrugs*

I hear you but customers are fickle. The longer this goes on, the more confusion, the more heated discussion, and just as you said, “the more maybes.” Maybes aren’t good in the business world…

BRS won't lose enough sales to worry about. 99.9% of reefers will never know about any of this.

I honestly stopped buying BRS once they did the gigantic giveaways over the holidays. Given that this last month of the year is when most companies make a profit for the year and BRS was able to leverage their size to get special concessions out of their suppliers that other could not, how much of the giveaway was potentially a way to force the smaller competitors out of the market? How many people bought from BRS specifically to get freebies that might have bought at the other vendors? I know a lot of people bought from BRS in hopes of snagging a few freebies and I hold no ill will towards them...just concerns me when the big boys have the ability to take out a competitor..especially in a supply bound year. Gonna be interesting to see if any of the other peeps can stay in business.

I tell you what this is great advertisement for brs for sooooo many people to at least visit there site to start to look for errors to try to take advantage of and possibly spend some money either way.

I didnt place an order..so no moral superiority there. I bought all of my holiday gifties from SaltwaterAquarium. If that was aimed at others..yes, you had to place an order with BRS and not a smaller vendor. Kinda made my point.

And I bet BRS are having a good laugh at this thread... you have successfully notified them of their problem. Their automated ordering system will be reviewed before any items are sent out. The people who pack the items for delivery did not know the price they are sold at, but I bet they will soon. Maybe if it was kept quiet some people would have got some bargains

I seen this thread last night when it started and I went to the site to look and did find them deeply discounted but did not buy. My reason I did not buy is because I know everyone will be getting a cancelation notice so what’s the point.

Which if you - as an average consumer - assumed was an 'error' - destroys and legal issues. Now - The PR issues - who cares - 12 people did not get their cheap equipment - let them each individually negotiate with BRS wha they both think is 'fair'. Someone who said 'I'm buying 100 xsxx' - is probably not going to have a chance. Some person from Holyoke MA who wanted a controller is likely to be happy'. IMHO- its time to just be patient.
