I need to clean my probes and re-calibrate. A while back I remember either @Ditto or @Vinny@GHLUSA saying something about vinegar. But I can't find the thread to be sure. What's the suggested cleaning procedure on all the probes? How long should the probes be in the solution?

I have access to vinegar or citric acid, if one is better than the other.

My salinity probe is all out of whack. it's reading low compared to all other testers I have. This is the main reason I want to do this.

I do 25 percent vinegar to rodi water soak for 10 mins clean and repeat.

When fully done soak in rodi water 15 mins and done :)

NOTE - I would only do this with the salinity and temp probe. With all others - I would use commercial cleaning solutions for each type of probe.

Sincerely Lasse

What type of solutions are you referring to? There are no recommend solutions from the manufacture.

Perhaps @Vinny@GHLUSA can also add GHLs perspective on what should be used.
