GHL profilux and AWC

Hi all
I'm starting a new tank. To reduce my time to less interesting things I bought a GHL profilux and I thought on automate water changes with the AWC function. The point is that I don't want to run it through a schedule but manually activating a maintenance or whatever like that. The GCC does only let do it by a timer (or it is what I see)

Does someone know how to do it?

Isn't the whole point of AWC (aka: automatic), well... automated?

If you do not want a timer to activate the awc use a switch.

Why are you not using the GHL Connect App to perform a water change? If it is because you don't have Wi-Fi, Wi-Wi is not needed. You can use the Profilux Hotspot. You do not need to set up a water change schedule to do a water change. Once you create the water change function in the App, a Start Water Change Icon will appear.

Isn't the whole point of AWC (aka: automatic), well... automated?

Automatic means also empty->fill in operation but launching it when you want it to happen. I do not want a daily or periodic programming without my supervision to avoid flooding
