GHL Propeller Breeze bracket thickness

Does anyone happen to know the thickness of one side of the GHL propeller breeze fan bracket? I am trying to see if it will fit between the inside of the tank glass and my rimless tank lid. This would be the side of just the one part where the bracket screw screws into the bracket, not the total width of the bracket that goes on both sides of the glass. Thanks!

I know the max thickness on this thing is 0.80". Anyone know if theres an adaptor to allow thicker glass, or how to make one?
