Hi I have recently adopted a coral reef tank and transplanted it into a new tank. The move has be successful apart from the loss of one coral and a brittle star (the tank was 6ft long and packed with goodies). We have the GHL Profilux 3 aquatic bus and a bunch of other bit for it including; a powerbar 6D, Profilux expansion box, Profilux touch & interface, GHL Magnetic stirrer, GHL doser 2 & GHL Doser 2 slave and so far alway we have figured out is how to use the lights . We have down loaded the GHL control centre and added the lights (2x GHL Mitras Lx). but no sure on what to do next or even if we need all the equipment we have inherited as we uses natural sea water (we have done tones of water changed and our corals and fish are happy) are water levels are all within normal range. Has anyone got any advice on how to set these up step by step would be amazing! feeling a bit overwhelmed by it all. Thanks in advance.

GHL is a complicated aquarium controller but very very good and so are the lights.

I use it to control temperature, my Mitras, Gyres, skimmer, X filter.. etc etc
I even automated my RODI production

Mainly for remote monitoring.

I would start with just monitoring the temp, pH etc and slowly add the Power bar to control stuff

Hi

You can find all manuals and all firmware at this place

User forum here

R2R sponsor forum here. At R2R there is a lot of people running ProfiLux and you can get a lot of help here

There is different models of the equipment you mentioned. If you can take a picture of each modell sign we will be able to help you with the right manuals.

And yes - even if you use natural seawater you can have a lot of use of this equipment. if there is a lot of reef buildings corals - you need to manage the calcium, magnesium and the alkalinity in one or another way. dosing pumps are a good help in this case

Sincerely Lasse
