GHL STDL4-4 - Controllable from DIY controller?

Hi all,

is it possible to control the GHL STDL4-4 via simple logical voltage levels or is there a protocol involved?
I'm building a tank controller and I'm searching for a safe option to control some power sockets.

Here's something for the eyes for you guys :)

It connects to the controller via an RJ12 and uses 12VDC. I took some measurements on mine and determined the following:

1 - not sure, measured constant 12VDC
2 - socket 1
3 - socket 2
4 - socket 3 (assumed, I don't have anything programed)
5 - socket 4 (assumed, I don't have anything programed)
6 - common
 
I Assume you measured the outlet on the controller, right? So it seems to be controlled by simple voltage levels. Maybe, to make sure, I should buy one and give it a try :)
 
Yes, I measured the voltages coming out of the controller. A Profilux Mini Wi-Fi.
 
I actually bought an old GHL 2 which had a DIY plugbar using relays, plug sockets etc that worked via the S port on the GHL so no reason why it wouldn’t work the other way around :)
 
So I had a peek inside the power bar. It's really just a bunch of diodes and resistors. The relay is a HF115F-S.

Exactly what I needed for my DIY controller :)

Hi Marcel

Quick question. While you were looking inside, did you notice if it was easy to reverse the relay so it stays on if communication is lost to the ghl? Or would the relay have to be changrd? Thanks
