I was cleaning my probes and I was noticing my temp probe has liquid in it. I had not noticed liquid in it in the past.. Was I just not paying attention to it? Is it normal for it to have liquid in it?

The digital should not, but not sure how would you see it since it is incased in black..

you can see the air bubble moved. This is the temp probe with the white tip. What’s the new one look like?

The upper one is the new - just plastic. PT1000 have also only plastic - but the lower one is the first digital model and it had a glas cover. You can see that I had drop my on the floor and broke the glass cover.

In your case - I suspect that it has come in some water between the glass cover and the body of the prob. If it will damage the probe or not - I do not know. My works but I have only use it in the air - not in water. But it could be good to know if it still works well in water even if the glass is gone away (or have a leaks as yours) @Vinny@GHLUSA - do you know?

Sincerely Lasse

Yep, that bottom probe is like mine.. just not broken.;)

Got the replacement probe. Looks to be the same style I already have.

1. Can you please clarify the temp probe issue above? If liquid gets in the outer section is the probe still good? I ask because my probe temp readings have still been working.
2. what is the newest version of the probe? Is the newer version like what Lasse shows or is the one with the white tip the latest?

I just got this one, I ordered it from BRS and rushed it to me thinking my probe above was bad.

@AZMSGT
There is no newer or older version of this probe. Both are current.

Regarding the internal leak, open a support ticket so we can handle this directly.
