Giant black snail / slug ID

Has anyone seen anything like this?

Approximately 3.5”-4” large, all black body with two distinct antennae that has a tinge of neon blue to them. Seems to have a smaller thin brown oval “shell” (indicated by arrow in pic)

Tried to grab it with tongs but couldn’t peel it off the rocks and it slid away quickly in between the rocks. :(

Ive seen a couple over 30 years. Theyre algae eaters exclusively and are a member of the limpet family in fact the largest of the false Limpets. They have a hidden shell that is large, and shield shaped. They are extremely jet-black in color, and the folds of its mantles conceal the oval shell on its' back
