Anybody know what these white copepod looking things are? I have a ton of them that float around and appear to be dead and like to collect around my rock work and corals...about a month ago there was an explosion of them and I cleaned about a cupful of them from the back of my sump and filter floss. They don't seem to be bothering anything at all, I just assumed it was a bloom of copepods that died off or are molting if they even do that. Now I just vacuum out as many as I can when I do water changes.

Look like pineapple sponges to me...

These are definitly pineapple sponge and are short lived often found in shaded areas of tank or in sump and thrive off silicates and algae
