Anybody have any idea what this guy is, hard shell on back and about the size of a mens bi fold wallet

Definitely a Fissurellid limpet; I’d guess Scutus sinensis or similar. I can’t find any research on its diet, but Scutus antipodes (the Elephant Slug) is generally regarded as a good algae eater in the hobby, so there’s a good chance it’s reef safe.

Ah, makes sense. Not S. sinensis then (they’re from farther North). Most likely S. unguis. Neat hitchhiker!
