Giant snail caused a mess

Just wanted to share an experience i had this weekend with a giant zebra snail. So i have had a few of these guys for years. Never had an issue until Saturday night at 1AM lol. Was watching a movie and heard a loud splashing noise. Ran to tank to see water spraying out the back (have a canopy). Opened the canopy lid and see one of these giant snails hanging out on the end of my return water pipe. So imagine turning faucet on full blast and putting your hand over it.... same thing happened here

. Knocked him off and about 30 minutes of trying to dry all the water behind the tank. Now think Im going to move these guys to the sump? Just wanted to share and something to think about with giant snails.

I have a pair of large trochus, but they are far too fat and definitely too lazy to navigate their way out to the end of my return outlets (they would rather graze atop the gyres where there appears to be prime feeding).

On that note, I guess I'm happy I just kept the standard circular outlets and didn't use any of the flat nozzles!
