I have a chance to get a 48" Giesemann 4 bulb t-5 dual mh fixture with ballast and it works for $150

Would that be a good deal and would it be ok over a 90 gallon tank about 8 inches above the water inside a canopy

Seems to good to be true with the cost of that fixture new. I'd jump on it if your sure it works and yes it will work on the 90 gallon just fine.

Even if the ballasts needed replacing, that’s low cost. You’re going to have some serious heat inside a canopy 8” off the water though.

I'd go slightly higher than that becuse of heat.

And yea. Jump on that. It would be fantastic.

Even if it didn’t work it’s a deal. Easy to fix. I would def jump on that deal. I payed more then that on ballast alone for mine..l

So I have one with internal ballast and one side intetmitting goes out. G iesmmsn told me not worth repairing is this something that's ez fix. I was told by lfs to rewrire external ballast
