Gift rock

I got a rock because it had the feather duster on it I really wanted but now I see it has a clear anemone on it. No stock if it's flush against The Rock clear with a distinct mouth in the middle. Trying to get a picture now

My guess is aptaisia

Its not Aiptasia i don't think. I can't remember the name, but it's not a good guy.

The arms were much longer when I saw it in the other tank. Do I need to pull that rock out I hate to because it has a lot of feather dusters and other such I want

I would pull it out and scrape them off(make sure you get it all), then put some epoxy over where they were. Then you can put it back in.
May want to wait for a more positive ID though.

Oh, ok. That looks like aiptasia. There are a few ways to get rid of them.

What you've pictured here has a stony skeleton - so not properly an anemone . . .

Neither of the photos you've shown look like Aiptasia to me, but since I don't know what they _are_, I can't say for sure that they're bad actors - or that they're not.

Is not a curly anenome? where is the rock from? Did you buy it from a store, what ocean area is it from? I know here on the west cost of fl we get wierd little things like that but they aren't bad

I'd hold off killing them. I'm not so sure that they're aiptasia, and even if they are, an extra couple of days won't hurt.

I'd wait for a positive ID.
