where to place a Gigantea Carpet Anemone some have said on the sand others say on rock can some one please corfirm were they go

They are rock dwelling anemones. S. haddoni is sandbed dwelling.

ok thank you can any one put me on to a good guid for theseas placement and lighting

They like high lighting and decent flow.. They do move to where they like to be...

Most Gigantea anemones reside in the bottom of the tank. They seem to prefer rocky sandbeds and medium current. This is a very large anemone.

at the moment it is in a small holding tank as it was stresed when it came trying to get clowns out so i can settle it in as the clowns will bug it its about 4 inches when open only had it since tuesday

Clownfish need to expose themselves to an anemone slowly. They will "Prod" and "poke" until they are acclimated to the anemone.

I agree, most Gigantea are found at the edges of a reef in sandy areas.

U can put it where ever u like ultimately that nem will move around until she is happy and comfortable

A friend of mine (Pete) went on vacation and took these amazing pics of S. Gigantea's in the wild!

Here's the beach front.

I'm really glad Pete had shared these amazing photos, because I had never seen them in the wild like that.
