My new additions...enjoy the video. ;)

I picked up a piece of 1" acrylic from Gen. The idea is to peg pieces of live rock onto there and secure it to the right rear wall to simulate depth.

An example of the piece of acrylic filled in with some rubble rock. Once coraline and corals grow it should fill in nicely.

1/2" fiberglass rods and weldon 16 from Tap Plastics. I'll tap the rods and secure them with a nylon nut (got the idea from Marco Rock demo).

Everything is looking great! Love the video with the kids in the tank...lol! This has to be one of the most well documented build threads....great job!

Wow...impressive build! I really like your plumbing and attention to detail. Looking forward to the rock work.

I started the rockscaping on the left side of the main display. I wanted to create alot of caves and overhangs for the fish to swim through. Let me know what you guys think. I'm probably going to have to buy some of the half cut Marco Rock to do the right side. I'm just not getting the look I want with what I have.

I also bought a used 1" Sea Swirl and will be using it for one of the returns. A new Vertex Mocean are a bit pricey compared to the Sea Swirls (and I've been happy with the ones I have on the FT). So, I'm on the look out for another. ;)

Hey BigFeesh,

Glad you liked the videos...the kids had a blast making theirs. It's going to be primarily a sps dominated tank w/a few lps for that "sway" motion. I'm waiting for our annual BAYMAC conference (May 14) to cherry pick some Marco Rock for the right side overhang and cave.

Just finished reading all 24 pages. Amazing build thanks for documenting everything.
Definitly inspirating as I'm jsut starting a 390G tank and will have a frag tank ssytem and some quarantine setup in the basement. So very similar setup...
Tagging along.

Sounds like a BIG endevour Maroun.c ! Glad to here you are planning ahead for a QT and FT, they are backbones to our displays. I noticed you are in Lebanon, is it difficult to get materials, livestock, etc. ?

It was very difficult to get livestock and equipment but it started improving 1-2 years ago. Being a frequent traveller I had the chance to collect many corals and pick up the equipment I need from travel to the states, Holland, Germany, Spain, Dubai, and many other countries. I always travel with additional space for equipment and a cooler or too for corals. Guess I'm the only tank in the whole middle east if not mroe to have ORA corals ...

Very nice ! It's good to make friends in other countries to share corals.

I'm looking forward to your build thread.
