I am terrible at reading the color charts required for saltwater testing... Give me you read on color matching my 2 saltwater tanks Nitrates.

Will a refugium reduce nitrates in a sump? I will add caulpera to the refugium.

Tank (1) 100 gallon reef: big vial. (I am overfeeding to keep a blue spotted puffer well fed - my blue tang is an aggressive pig)

Tank (2) 20 gallon QT Tank: little vial (w/ sacrificed live rock)

Well the little vial looks about 5 and the big one above/around 10ppm ?

I struggle with the pink Red Sea Nitrate and have changed to NYOS which is yellow.

It's hard to tell. My understanding is you are supposed to look down and match the color that way not from the sides.

Yeah it gets tough sometimes. I remember when I used to use API and their ammonia test is similar, hard to tell between a clear yelllow or slightly green for me.
