Giving it another go

After a 2 or 3 year hiatus Im giving it another go. I ran across a nice 60 gal cube at a flea market with a granite looking stand and hood for 75.00 and could not pass it by. The only down side is its not RR. But this go around Im going to try and keep it simple and take it slow. Ive still got a 250w MH and a 175w MH Im not shure whitch ill use. Ive been looking at the Taam Rio Polario for flow has anyone had any experience with this pump? it was still in development when I got out of the hobby. Could some one give me some skimmer recommendations has there been any improvements in any HOB skimmers I would like to try and not have to drill. If not im just going to get one of the external overflows. Im excited about getting back in.Oh ya what happend to Donny or better yet 5th day I went by the other day and eavery thing was gone my heart sank, did he just move or is eavery one stuck back ordering eavery thing? looking forward to seeing eavery one again. Pics of tank and build will be coming.

yes 5th day is gone & it is a shame. I saw one of the large Reef Octopus HOB at 5th day, it looked really good!

I have one of the reef octopus HOB skimmers on my 40 and it works great.

the octopus skimmers donny had at the store on a few tanks seemed to skim very good for a HOB.

Donnys store is gone for sure. Glad to see you back in the swing again though. See you at the meeting tomorrow

paws pets in lafayette is supposed to be opening up another store in fort o some time in june. they say they will have saltwater setups

AquaC Remora has some great reviews as a HOB protein skimmer, an option to look into.
