I seem to always have trouble growing Chaeto, so decided to try Red Ogo. Does anyone have any tips? Is there anything specific about it that I should take into consideration? Appreciate any advice.

Go with blue lighting. You can probably add some green in too if your light is controllable.

As with any macro, I highly recommend supplementing elements that it will use as it grows. Chaeto, two little fishies iron and manganese, etc. are some to look at if you don't currently dose trace element

I currently have an AI Prime Fuge Light, so instead of red go more purpleish blue? Never heard of that.

I would focus most of the power on the UV and white, and then whatever red you would like. Or, you could run all channels at 100%. I would start with all at 100%

Its hard to find information on that algae specifically as the papers on what light color it responds to, so I usually suggest blue as a default for red algae, and blue and red for green algae. However, I believe it will still do well under those lights.
