Glad I got a skimmer

So I have been running my 120gal mix reef and fish tank for almost a year now, and running without a skimmer. I thought I didnt need one. My tank has been a constant mess with algea, and having to clean the glass every other day.
I purchased an auquatop cyclone protien skimmer, last week. And this unit has been working phenomenally. I have been draining the water it has been gathering, and it is all green. This skimmer works very well. My corals are very happy now.

Great to hear!! Although a skimmer isn't technically needed, it is another piece of equipment that does precisely what it's intended to do. Remove dissolved organics. Getting those organics out helps with a plethora of issues. Algae being one of them

I always felt it wasn't needed, but after having it for just a week, my tank has remained cleaner then ever with no algea build up. Love it!!!
