Hello all. I was an avid freshwater African Cichlid keeper and breeder. Had up to 5 tanks going and sold everything off about 4 months ago.

Fast forward 3 months and I was missing hobby and always wanted a reef set up. I picked up a used and established 90 gallon tank. The owner had sold off all of the fish and corals so it was a perfect platform to start on.

I love the fish but have started to become a coral addict! I have started with a variety of basic and hardy corals of different types but anxious to expand. Taking it slow though. This site has already answered a lot of my questions so I figured it was time to join. I look forward to my stay.

Welcome to R2R, we are glad to have you here!

I love the fish but have started to become a coral addict!

I've been bitten by the coral bug recently as well having added a couple a month ago with many, many more arriving today! It definitely is an addiction, soon you will be wanting to upgrade for that one special fish that your tank is just a little too small for:p. I'm at that stage now, just gotta figure out how to slip the $10k past the GF without her noticing:rolleyes:

Welcome to R2R. I also was a cichlid lover...I raised an Oscar to 12 inches in size. Reefing will be so much more than we could have imagined with our fresh tanks.
