Hi guys. My name is Megan and I started my first saltwater aquarium about maybe 8 months ago. Since then, I have discovered that there isn't really any such thing as a "typical saltwater aquarium". Finding tiny critters and things around my tank almost everytime I settle down next to the tank for some viewing time.
I currently have a 36 gallon acrylic bowfront aquarium with a side-by-side 20 gallon makeshift sump floating a protein skimmer, GFO reactor, HOB Fluval filter, and some lovely Chaeto macroalgae
Livestock:
Amphipods, Copeapods, Collonista snails (tons of them), a few mini serpent starfish that I never really see, the occasional Asterina starfish that I will toss over into my sump, some bristle worms, 3 Nassarius snails, 3 Nerite snails, 2 Astrea snails, 2 Turbo snails, around 15 hermit crabs (assorted types), 1 skunk cleaner shrimp, 1 flame scallop my mom randomly picked up from an LFS (who told her it was a clam ...
), a black ice snowflake ocellaris clownfish pair, a bicolor blenny, and a lawnmower blenny, 2 zoanthid corals, 1 octospawn, 1 acan, and 2 blastos.
I am upgrading sometime within the next 3 months to a 125 or 150 gallon ~ super excited
