I’ve had my 225g for almost 15 years by now. I also had many 30g for breeding setup, and 2 75g frag tanks. No issues whatsoever.

I just spent the past 3 months of hell dealing with Glasscages so I want to add my experience here for perspective. I ordered a 350-gallon glass tank from them in May. They promised delivery in mid June, but when I called in mid-June, they just received the glass sheets. I finally got my tank in late July. The tank arrived with a broken bottom. The tank packaging is beyond flimsy. A heavy glass tank was placed on a warehouse wooden palate, tied by 2 loose plastic cords, and covered by a cardboard box. See the attached pictures if you don't believe that an aquarium manufacturer can be that careless and stupid. I bought my last tank (675 gallon) from Fishtanksdirect, which is acrylic. And it was shipped in a custom-made wooden box.

After my call, they sent me an email stating that they will replace my tank for free. I had asked them to drill holes for my custom overflow so I had to send them my template. Despite FedEx confirmation that Glasscages signed for it, they lost the template. Afterward, I had to pay for another template, and mailed it to them. Then I heard nothing for more than a month. My assistant called them, and now they said that they only will replace the tank if I pay (but with a discount). It is a crime that such a shady company is still in business.

Sorry to hear this

My 260 gallon was built and shipped by these guys and it was great as well. No complaints, great glass and craftsmanship.

I have read some bad reviews on their larger tanks. I think the bigger they get, the worse the review.

That’s unfortunate. I just took delivery of a 240 gallon tank and had a very different experience with a mistake they had made on the hole placement for my overflow. I contacted them, and although it took them a week to correct, they offered to replace the tank or pay for a custom overflow to match their mistake. I took the overflow.

Just received 2-240 longs. I’m wondering on the few people who had issues it seemed to be larger, specific requests tanks. I ordered a standard size tanks and also called them about 5 different times during the build process.

As of yesterday both are full of water now. My only issue is the overflow covers are well below where I want the water line to be. I can raise them but if the return pump shuts off the water leaks around them and 1-1/2” of tank water go into my sump

That is ridiculous , how do they stay in business

Wow that's terrible i almost bought one from them. I had tankmeusa.com build mine i really like it

I'm sure you do. TankMeUSA is absolutely great (probably the best I've seen to date) but also at a very different price point.

Cool looking tanks

The dramatic black corner seams is distinctive

Wow..I was very optimistic reading the positive reviews before this post, but am glad I came across this. The OPs tank looks great as well as others. Too bad, I was more than likely going to order an 8 foot tank from glass cages in the next couple months, but after seeing this...

It is one thing to mess up a tank, but to not service the customer after is unacceptable 1000/1000 times

I don’t disagree. I just think with the volume they have, one, two even 100 unhappy customers don’t put a dent in their sales. They make tanks for biomedical practices and so many other avenues. Reefing is least of their worries. To your point, that’s not how I would run my business.

I can’t give you any feedback on the larger tanks, but seems like the smaller the better

I ordered two 8’ tanks and had no issues at all

Or they may just be getting better at it...good to hear. Thanks for your feedback.

I guess every company makes mistakes. It is their response that matters though..I am not completely ruling out glass cages, just surprised that this was not corrected immediately. I have done quite a bit of research on glass cages and they have a lot of great reviews. Customer pics of their tanks are very impressive, especially for the price. I have talked to them on the phone a couple times to get quotes etc, and they were very good to deal with.
