I'm looking for some feed back on glasscages on recent purchases. I am considering them for a larger tank build (72x24x31). Sure I remember all the bad "press" they got years back. It's just so convenient with them being semi-local and the price looks nice.
I'm open to hear other options though as well.

Thanks

I saw a 65 that they did for Tim Coyle up in Franklin. It was a very good looking tank. The silicone looked clean in the display areas. He tells me that the lower silicone was a bit messier but it was below the sand bed. The tank was made about 2 months ago.

Can't be much worse than a lot of the Marineland tanks I've seen lately, I've seen some where the panels didn't match up flush, or the panel was not completely rectangular...and crazy silicone work. The smaller tanks I've seen from GC have looked pretty good lately. Wonder how their customer service is these days? For such a large tank, I might look at some of their work first. Of the tank failures I've seen from them, they're typically on tanks over 120g. Good luck. There's a 180 (might be a 220) at AC you can get a killer deal on...
