Hello. I noticed a salt line which seems to be from the previous water line. Is it possible to clean this off? If so how should I go about this? I have tried to scrape this with the razor, use a towel, etc I was hesitant to try with vinegar or any other type of coarse brush not knowing the side effects to water. There is nothing in the tank at the moment as its cycling so there is minimal risk. Any idea or advice? My OCD is getting me crazy with this line. o_O

Do you have an auto top off?

the salt line is a good indicator to refill with fresh water.

don’t add saltwater as it will raise the salinity of the tank. Unless that’s what you’re going for

All tanks do It, it’s either from the surface agitation from flow, or evaporated water line, I just use my flipper when I do the inside of the glass every few days

Yes, But since I had changed the plumbing in return pipes this altered the water levels.

only way beyond a razor is to place a damp vinegar soaked paper towel over the target area....
Tricky tho: vinegar wont hurt anything really, but the towel cant soak up the tank water s you’ll have to lower water and fold the paper towel appropriately
