How often do you have to clean your glass? I'm finding the algae grows really quickly and it's every 2 or 3 days I have to get my arm wet. I do need a couple of turbo snails once Lfs gets them, also it's fathers day soon and asked the kids mum for a jbl floaty magnet cleaner.

I love my Flipper.

I also use a flipper and I do a quick wipe every day or so. I just went 4 without doing it and there was hardly anything.

Flipper every 4-5 days, i just discovered magic erasers, works great for algae that flipper wont remove.

you do that with the water in the tank?
Yeah, i only plan on doing it once a month or less. I researched it and several people do it without any ill effects. I havent read anywhere that it causes problems. I run carbon as well. I used it a couple weeks ago and havent noticed any problems. You have to make sure its the original magic eraser.

What's a magic eraser? Also what's the difference between a flipper and a normal magnet cleaner?

I only use my flipper once a week, mostly because I'm lazy. I should probably do it every 4 days for best results. I didn't see any threads on using a magic eraser?

Almost everyday. I actually do it every other day but after just one day I can see algae growing back
