Glass cover for frag tank?

Hello,

I set up a 20gal long frag tank and evaporation is killing me!
ATO is not the problem as it replenishes the tank but i'm using like 2+ gallons a day.
My water bill is gonna be FAT.
I will be burning through RO/DI a lot faster at this rate too.

Can I put a glass top on a frag tank to slow down evaporation?

2 gallons of evap on a 20g a day? That doesn’t seem right. However, you could add a cover. Remember it’s going to reduce your par level as it gets dirty. Get ahold of a local glass shop, let them know the size you need and you’re all good make sure they polish the edge on them so you aren’t dealing with raw glass corners. Also make sure you get a decent thickness so it doesn’t break, or go with acrylic.
